Cancellation Policy
Digital Marketing Policy At Pixel Pumas, we value clarity, fairness, and professionalism in all our collaborations. This policy applies to our photography, videography, and digital marketing services in Canada. 1. Copyright & Usage Rights Under the Copyright Act of Canada, the creator of any photo or video automatically owns the copyright unless explicitly transferred in writing. All images and videos produced by Pixel Pumas remain our intellectual property. Clients receive a commercial license to use the content for their business (website, social media, advertising, etc.). Full exclusivity can be purchased separately for selected visuals, meaning Pixel Pumas cannot use them for promotion or licensing. 2. Use of Content for Promotion Pixel Pumas may showcase selected work in our portfolio, website, or social media to promote services. Exclusivity agreements override this right. 3. Payments 50% deposit required at project start. 50% balance due upon project completion and before final delivery. Accepted methods: Credit Card and E-Transfer. 4. Project Timeline Minimum engagement: 3 months, allowing us to learn your audience, define buyer personas, and create visuals that generate measurable revenue. 5. Premium Visuals Certain productions (hero videos, brand stories, high-end photo series) may have long-term strategic value. Clients may purchase exclusive rights to these visuals if desired. 6. Scheduling & Shoot Policy Photoshoots or videoshoots are scheduled based on mutual availability and weather/lighting conditions for optimal quality. Last-minute cancellations (<48 hours notice) may incur a fee of 50% of the session cost, as time and resources are reserved. Rescheduling is accommodated whenever possible, with priority given to clients who provide timely notice. 📌 Legal Reference: Copyright in Canada is governed by the Copyright Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42). By law, creators own the copyright to their work unless explicitly transferred in writing.
